"Friendship Colours of the Chars“ is a pop-up store at Place d’Armes that sells handmade products from Bangladesh. These range from scarves, cushion covers and tablecloths to accessories such as bags, jewellery and even clothes. "Friendship" is a Bangladeshi NGO with a vision of a world where people, especially the hard-to-reach, have equal opportunities to live with dignity and hope. This is the 5th place where a Friendship shop has been located in Luxembourg City. The fact that they have to constantly change their location means that they see themselves as nomads, just like the communities supported by Friendship, who are often forced to move due to climate fluctuations. They have increased their range of products over time. The weavers who embroider these items belong to vulnerable communities in northern Bangladesh. The success of this business enables more women to be trained in their weaving workshops so that they can produce more and develop new skills.
