The owner of Nirvana is an immensely dedicated and passionate vegan. To him, the concern for the well-being of animals and the fight against climate change are of high importance. Ten years ago, he made the decision to open a completely vegan Indian restaurant close to the central train station to further advocate for his cause. One of his priorities is to make vegan food accessible. For example, students receive a discount on the daily menu, and there is a general 15% reduction on other menus, as well. To minimize food waste, only small quantities of dishes are prepared in advance, ensuring that the food is always fresh. Any remaining dishes in the evening are often distributed to homeless people. Moreover, customers receive a discount when they bring their own containers for take-away orders.
