The CID Women and Gender Library lies hidden in the City of Luxembourg. Through a small house door, the visitor accesses an apartment on the second floor where he/she can find over 30.000 books on the themes of feminism, or gender and equality between men and women. The CID aims at reuniting the works of influent women that have made a difference in this world. This mission allows the interested reader to discover impressing women that have written history not only in politics but also in culture, natural sciences and many other domains, and that are often disregarded by our society. The library also contains works on violence against women and mental and physical health. A large section is dedicated to fiction (novels). Besides, the visitor can also borrow musical works composed by female artists from the media library.

Opening hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12am to 6pm, Thursday: 12am to 7.30pm
